Convention Summary
The 13th Grand Council Convention of Kappa Psi Fraternity was held at the LaSalle Hotel, Chicago, Illinois, November 26-29, 1913. With one-hundred-nineteen delegates and members present, this was the largest Kappa Psi convention on record to that time. Phi Chapter, Chi Chapter, and the Chicago alumni chapter were the hosts. Among the many items that received attention, the following are most significant: (1) the name "passive" member was changed to "graduate" member; (2) a pledge obligation was approved; (3) authority was given to active chapters to elect to membership graduates from recognized schools of medicine and pharmacy, provided they had not been rejected by any other chapter of Kappa Psi.
